Does Any of This Sound Familiar?
- "My plan's fine. I haven't really looked at it since I signed up."
- "The plan sent a big packet in the fall. I didn't read it."
- "My prescriptions have changed, but I never checked how my plan covers them now."
- "My supplement premium goes up every year, and I'm not sure why."
- "Nobody has ever explained what happens if one of us needs long-term care."
Here's the thing: if you have a Medicare Advantage or drug plan, the insurance company reviews it every year. Premiums, copays, drug lists and networks can change each January. If you have a supplement, your premium can still change.
The review that's usually missing is yours.
Why a second look matters
The Coverage You Picked Years Ago Was Built for a Different You
Most people pick their first plan around the doctors and prescriptions they had then. Years later, the doctors, the prescriptions, the budget, and sometimes the household, have changed. Three facts are worth knowing:
What your Second Look covers
Five Things We Check, Side by Side
1. Your Doctors and Hospitals
Are the doctors, specialists and hospitals you rely on still in your plan's network? We check the current plan information together. (Networks change, so always confirm with the plan and the office too.)
2. Your Prescriptions
How each medicine is covered today: its tier, your pharmacy and any restrictions. A new prescription can change the math on a plan that used to fit.
3. Your Estimated Yearly Cost
Not just the monthly premium. We estimate your premiums plus the copays and coinsurance you could face, using your plan's yearly out-of-pocket limit where one applies.
Original Medicare has no yearly out-of-pocket limit, and some services aren't covered at all, so we'll point out where your costs could run higher than the estimate.
The lowest premium isn't always the lowest-cost year.
4. Your Supplement Premium, If You Have One
If your Medicare Supplement premium keeps climbing, we'll look at why and whether other options exist. Switching a supplement usually means answering health questions, so we'll check whether a change is even realistic before you get your hopes up.
5. Costs Medicare May Not Cover
Original Medicare generally doesn't cover routine dental, vision or hearing care, or long-term custodial care. Some Medicare Advantage plans include limited extra benefits. We'll talk plainly about what these could cost your household and how families plan for them, including what happens to the budget if one spouse needs care.

Who you'll work with
I'm Mark Enis. I'll Give You a Straight Answer, Even If It's "Keep What You Have."
I help you look at your doctors, prescriptions, coverage and healthcare costs together, so you can see what still fits and what deserves another look. I work with people across Mississippi from my office near Clarksdale, in Dublin. I co-wrote the Medicare book Medicare Breakdown, and I'm Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC®). You get a neighbor, not a call center.
My job is to make sure your coverage still fits, and to tell you plainly when it does.

Questions? Here Are the Answers
Do I Have to Change Plans?
No. A Second Look can confirm your current coverage still fits. Any change should be based on your needs, your eligibility and an available enrollment period.
Can We Do This Outside the Fall Enrollment Period?
Yes. A review can happen any time of year. Whether you can change coverage depends on Medicare's enrollment periods and your situation. The Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7.
Are You With Medicare?
No. Blues Hwy Benefits is an independent insurance agency. It is not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program.
Do You Offer Every Plan?
No. I represent selected insurance companies and don't offer every plan available in your area. For information on all of your options, contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE.
Can My Son or Daughter Join?
Yes. A family member or caregiver can join with your permission. I may need you to take part, or to authorize them, before we discuss private coverage details.
Will You Try to Sell Me Something?
I'll be upfront about how I'm paid. If a change makes sense and you choose to make it, the insurance company pays me. If keeping your current coverage is the right answer, I'll tell you that too.
Blues Hwy Benefits is an independent insurance agency, The MPE Group LLC, and is not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program. A review does not create an enrollment period. Plan availability, benefits, networks and drug coverage vary by county and can change each year; confirm details with the plan before making a decision.
